I don't know that I'm sold on the color scheme yet, either, but I like the wide-screen layout much better.
BTW, I tried white text on the grey background but thought it was harder to read. It might make more sense if I went with a darker grey, but at least last time I played with it, I didn't want to make the page too dark.
Next time, I'll probably try some variation that uses the old Proletariat red, but I'll have to put together at least an hour or so on the weekend to really have time to play with it.

I'm not sure about the black text on a grey background, but yes I like and I can read it. XD
Some great posts, I particularly liked the wrestling references and the term, 'anti-hooah.'
I'd make the text white--easier on the eyes. Otherwise, very nice.
