Long Swim Day (or "I'm Getting Old")

After last week's long ride, I decided on a swim/run emphasis for this week and next week.  My long swim was this morning:

4 x 100 @ 1:40 Warm Up

3 x 300 free @ 4:15
3 x 200 free @ 2:50  } tempo
3 x 100 free @ 1:25

300 Kick

4 x 200 pull @ 2:50 - aerobic pace

100 easy/drill

5 x 100 @ 1:20

100 warm down - Total = 3900 yards

I made it to about the middle of the 200's before I started getting tired.  But soon enough I started wearing down, and by the time I hit that last set, it was all I could do just to make the interval.  Which is fine.  I mean, it's sort of what I expected.  My only issue is that back in in high school this would have been an EASY day, so easy that I probably would have been amazed that that's all there was.

Where are those days?  And when did this stuff start to be work?
