While we're talking this morning, let me tell you my problem. My kids have recently discovered comics. That's good. But they're girls, ages 7 and 5.
I ask you: what can they read that's good?

Tintin is fairly nice. Avoid the early stuff, though. Asterix and Obelix, prince Valiant . . . there's a ton of non-U.S. fairly family friendly comics out there.
Dreamland Chronicles, online and in print is geared towards the ages of your girls. Also, my friend gets Tiny Titans for his 5 year old. I think there was a Marvel version for kids too, but I think they might have discontinued it.
I should've thought of the non-US stuff. Although, to be fair, that's gonna take some work to get a hold of. Sadly, you just do't see Asterix on the shelves over here every day.
Alan, I've not tried yet with web comics with the girls. But I'll see how they do with Dreamland.
